Cat trainer

We came to Homeward Bound for help with our two corgis, who were fighting constantly. The fights were very bad, snarling, snapping and our younger dog finally got gauged with the other's tooth that required a trip to the vet. It was upsetting and stressful, not only to witness these fights between our two beloved dogs, but also trying to break it up while keeping ourselves and them safe. My husband and I both had gotten bitten breaking up these fights and we were at our wits end, worried we would have re-home one of them if the fights did not stop.So we reached out to Homeward Bound for help. From the very start, it was a positive experience. My husband and I had a two hour virtual consultation with Emily and Jolene and it was incredibly eye opening. They gave us real tools that we were able to start utilizing right away with our dogs; positive activities to start engaging their minds and allowing them to use their energy in a more productive/calm way (as I write this, they are enjoying dinner filled Toppl toys-one of Emily and Jolene's many fantastic suggestions! :D) They not only provided positive activity suggestions, they also explained the behavioral reasons behind the fighting so it gave us a more complete picture of what was going on and therefore, more insight on how to handle the issues going forward.Following the consultation, Emily promptly sent us a video recording of the session and a detailed assessment along with additional information on enrichment tools and training options.Our dogs haven't fought now for several weeks and the stress in our house has gone down significantly!!! While we didn't feel the need to continue with a full training program at this time, if this was the experience before training even began, I can only imagine how phenomenal their full program is! Après un peu plus de 2 ans à essayer tout sorte d'exercice pour les problèmes de réactivité d'Enzo envers la télévision et la fenêtre. Jai finalement décider de faire affaire avec Euxreka et le programme d'éducation Taz Maniaque à Calme et en Contrôle. Après même pas une consultation, j'avais déjà des exercices adaptés à Enzo et j'ai vu des progrès extraordinaires. J'ai enfin retrouver un chien calme et bien dans son corps. Je recommande Euxreka a 110%!!!

Adopted a dog from this trainer. I would not suggest going to him for any training nor adopting an animal from him, very bad customer service and he is a liar. LIAR.

Ruth has been amazing with our 20 month old formosan mountain dog. Rosco can be a little nervous around new people but Ruth was so patient and loving towards him, making sure he was comfortable with her before taking him on his first full walk. Now he gets excited every time he sees her at the front door. She's experienced, always on time and takes pictures and a video for the whole walk so you can see what your pup's been up to! Highly recommend!

They were available to accommodate me very last minute for a groom. Very knowledgeable in poodle mix haircuts. Will return with both my dogs in the future

I was referred to Ruth by a happy customer and just wanted to chime in to say Ruth is excellent. She took great care of my cats - one is very timid and the other has special needs due to a health issue. My timid boy warmed up to her immediately, and I felt completely confident that my special needs kitty was in good hands. I really appreciate the Ruth does more than just feed them and scoop litter! She brings toys to play with and sends cute photos and videos of each visit. She loves and understands animals and it shows!The booking process and key dropoff/pickup is SO convenient! 10/10!I really hoped to find a good cat sitter for when I am away for longer periods, and now I know there’s no need to look any further. She’s the right one!!

Something came up last minute and I needed my two cats boarded for the day- am I ever happy I found these guys! You can tell they are very caring and knowledgeable when it comes to your pets- I was instantly put at ease dropping my cats off. Their place is clean and has a calming atmosphere. My persian had a lion cut and her nails done during their stay and she looks fabulous. I will be definitely recommending UC & FA to my friends and family.

I can’t say enough wonderful things about Emily. Our dog, Bruce, suffers from severe separation anxiety. We started working with Emily about a year ago and we are finally to the point where we can leave our dog home alone for hours at a time. Although it may not seem like a lot, this is huge for us. Emily was able to help us with desensitizing Bruce, helped us find the right medication, and was a great support through this entire adventure. Thank you for all of your efforts and knowledge. Emily went above and beyond and we will be forever grateful!

Really enjoyed our classes with our new pup Winnie.Bernadette is so knowledgeable and gave us great excercises to work on , and the small class size ensured we could build on the skills we acquired. Thankyou Bernadette....looking forward to some of the other classes!
